Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

  • Your name and email address

  • Profile and yard photos you choose to upload

  • Service addresses and precise location information

  • Lawn-care requests, appointments, and service history

  • Payment and transaction information processed by our payment provider

  • Ratings, feedback, and communications

  • Device identifiers and push-notification tokens

  • Landscaper profile, service area, availability, and background-check status information

  • App installation and device identifiers, device and app information, approximate location, and app usage events collected for analytics and advertising measurement in supported app versions.

TurfUp does not directly collect Social Security numbers from customers. Payment providers, identity-verification services, or background-check providers may separately request sensitive information from landscapers when required to provide their services. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:
  • Create and manage accounts
  • Match customers with landscapers
  • Verify addresses and calculate service distances
  • Process payments and landscaper payouts
  • Provide appointment and job-status updates
  • Support safety, fraud prevention, and background-check processes
  • Respond to support requests and feedback
  • Maintain and improve the app

  • Understand app usage and measure whether TurfUp advertising leads to app installs and first opens.

How We Share Information

We may share information:
  • Between customers and landscapers when needed to arrange or complete a service
  • With service providers that support payments, hosting, address verification, notifications, identity verification, and background checks
  • When required by law or necessary to protect users, TurfUp, or others
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of the business

In versions of our iOS app that include Google install measurement, we use Google Analytics for Firebase and share measurement information with Google to understand app usage and evaluate TurfUp advertising through Google Ads. This information can include app-installation and device identifiers, device and app information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and events such as first opens, sessions, and screen views. This integration does not send your TurfUp account ID, name, email address, phone number, service address, or precise GPS location to Analytics. Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) collection and ad personalization signals are disabled in this integration. Google's handling of information is described in its [Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy). Set the policy's effective date to the actual publication date. These additions describe the iOS Analytics integration; the app's existing address-verification and location features continue to need their existing disclosures.

We do not sell personal information for money.

Location Information

TurfUp may use customer service locations and landscaper location data to display nearby jobs, calculate distances, support navigation, and provide job-status updates. Location access can be managed through device settings, although certain app features may not work without it.

Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.

Your Choices

You may update certain profile information in the app and manage location or notification permissions through your device settings. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

Children’s Privacy

TurfUp is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or legal guardian who believes that a minor has provided personal information to TurfUp may contact us using the contact form on this site to request its deletion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy over time. When we make changes, we will revise the effective date and provide any notice required by law.
